As a way to continue being *"Church Together"* the Lutheran youth of the
South Bay are having a meet and greet for both Middle & High School
students.

This Wednesday, June 22, we will have our *WOW!* (The Word on Wednesday)
event at 6:00 p.m. at St. Luke in Sunnyvale. There will be a dinner of hot
dogs (and maybe some hamburgers) as well as after dinner s'more making. We
are hoping that some great side dishes can be added to our meal, youth
friendly of course- fruit, salads, chips, you get the idea. Plan for about
15 or so youth. Bring your roasting sticks if you have some.

While we sit by the fire we will ponder a Christian response to acts of
terrorism like the one in Orlando. We will use Colossians 3:1-17 as our
guide. Here is an excerpt:

Therefore, as God=E2=80=99s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yo=
urselves
 with *compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience*. Bear with
each other and *forgive *one another if any of you has a *grievance *agains=
t
someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on
*love*, which binds them all together in perfect *unity*. Col 3:12-14

*What:* Middle & High Schoolers, a yummy side dish, an open mind, and a
chaperone

Next Outing, July 12- Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk after 5:00, Retro Nights-
all the rides $1! Maybe we can make it a day at the beach too?? All ideas
and suggestions are welcome.
