Dear Friends in Christ!
It is with excitement, and mindful of 10 years of Called to Common Mission,=
that we send you this update on next Thursday's (June 2, 7:30pm) joint ECU=
SA | ELCA Ascension Day Service with ECUSA Presiding Bishop , The Most Rev.=
Dr. Katharine Jefforts Schori as preacher. We would ask three things of y=
ou:
1) Make sure that your parish is aware of this great festival opportunity =
and to hear Presiding Bishop Jefferts Schori in person at 7:30pm next Thurs=
day the 2nd at Stanford's Memorial Church.
2) Come yourself! And please pass this along to other colleagues in your =
setting. We encourage those who are interested in processing to arrive by =
7pm in the Circle Room attached to Memorial Church and be prepared (vested)=
to process by 7:15pm.
3) We ask that you would have your staff be on the watch for a letter arri=
ving next week inviting your financial support for this event. There will =
be an enclosed envelope to send a check payable to St. Mark's Episcopal Chu=
rch who has graciously agreed to handle the accounting of the event. Tradi=
tionally we have asked for each parish Lutheran & Episcopal to contribute $=
100 for this service. Feel free to send in a check now if you like. St. M=
