On Saturday October 17th we will gather electronically as a synod,=20
employing the same technology as we used last year for the online=20
synod assembly, to hold this year's District and Conference Meetings.=20
Our conference, the Santa Clara Valley Lutheran Parish, will meet=20
with the other congregations of Districts C and D at Grace Lutheran=20
Church, located at 3149 Waverly Street in Palo Alto.=20

accurate headcount for lunch at this gathering. =C2=A0Please make sure=20

the names of all the people, including clergy, who plan to attend.=20

leadership, and your "voting members" should find it helpful. =C2=A0There=

are to be networking opportunities for interest groups, such as=20
congregational treasurers. A highlight of the day will be participation=20
in a video forum on cultural and immigration issues as they impact our=20
ministry as congregations here in the Sierra Pacific Synod, led by the=20
new President of Pacific School of Religion, Dr. David Vasquez-Levy, a=20
rostered pastor of the ELCA.=20
