Psalm 118:24 Last year at my graduation from PLTS, Dr. Jim Limburg told this story. He said that one morning he and his wife joined some Jewish friends to see the sights of San Francisco. As they looked out at the Golden Gate Bridge, the Rabbi said, "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it," only he said the words in Hebrew. Dr. Limburg said that he starts his day with those words. Since my graduation I too have started my day with these words, "This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." It is a reminder that the day is in the Lord's hands, that we can take joy in all that is in our day. This verse centers me as I began my day. May your day be blessed, today and every day.
