Dear Sisters and Brothers in Ministry:=20

This is to share with you t I have been offered and accepted a position as =
seminary professor in Hyderabad, India. As a long-term ELCA missionary, I w=
ill be teaching church history and Christian theology in a stimulating inte=
rfaith context.=C2=A0 This means that Kumar, Naomi, and Anna will be making=
 =C2=A0Hyderabad our home for the next four years.=20

This new call will begin towards the end of July. I, therefore, am resignin=
g my position of Pastor of Worship & Discipleship at Bethel effective mid-J=
uly.=20

The attached letter (which I shared with Bethel staff earlier this week) co=
ntains a few more details and explains a bit what let me to accept this new=
 position.=C2=A0 While there is some anxiety present among us, on the whole=
=C2=A0Kumar, Naomi, Anna, and I=C2=A0are excited=C2=A0about this new step o=
n our journey.=20

I am also attaching a visual aid to help you envision the city of Hyderabad=
 and its environs.=20
