Christmas greetings to you all. I pray you may all find God-with-us in the
midst of all that is going in your lives this week. I pray you may join the
shepherds as they rejoice in the birth of the savior and the breaking-in of
a new creation.
The Christmas party was a great time. Thank yous and gratitude to Pastor
Manda for hosting and decorating the Christ the Good Shepherd fellowship
hall for the Parish leaders and partners Christmas dinner. Thanks also goes
to Pastor John Goldstein for a fabulous turkey, and to everyone for their
contributions to the meal. It was a delicious and fun event. Pastor Carol
Been got us talking about family and growing up memories. I would suggest
that we all mark our calendars for the first Friday in December, 2015 for
our annual party.
My retirement will be official on Dec. 31st, but I will still be fulfilling
my Dean position. So on to the first gathering in January.
Since the first Thursday is on Jan. 1, it seemed prudent to move it to
January 8th. We will be hosted by Immanuel in Saratoga -- thank you Pastor
Derek. The "out of the box" team will continue their great work, and we
can continue to find ways to strengthen our relationships within the
parish. new year planning will also be part of the conversation.
Looking ahead:
January 23-24 "God Gives... We Go..." synod-wide event. This event is
designed to build relationships and understanding with-in and between synod
congregations person to person. It looks to be a fun and informative event
for all ages. It is completely family friendly.
February 6 Cristina Beauchemin will be ordained and installed as
the new pastor of New Creation Lutheran Church. Be sure to make
plans to participate and celebrate.
February 8 Jim Clark-Moore will be ordained and installed at Hope
Lutheran Church. More details to come. It will be a busy weekend.
And don't pack your robe carriers away too far. There will be at least 2
more installations this winter-spring.
May God walk with you boldly into the new year.
Dean Anne
