Greetings all, 
DEM Carlton Monroe has requested our help to send Eduardo to our synod assembly. Prince of Peace is willing to help with covering his registration, and I am hoping the rest of us can support the remaining expenses. These would include hotel, food and gas; perhaps as much as $400. 

If this is possible from your congregation, please send the money to Jim White made out to SCVLP & noted for support for Pueblo de Dios, assembly. It would be helpful to let all of us know if (not what) you are contributing. Jim will send a check from the SCVLP to POP, who will be fronting the expenses. 

Assembly notes: 
During the transition between 17 conferences to 9 conferences there will be 2 gatherings during the assembly. 
1. this one will be a gathering of the new conference -- for us that is Monterey Bay Conf. & SCVLP -- and the business will be to elect a new dean for 3 years. A co-dean (no jokes please) may also be elected, but will not be the "official" representative to the Bishop's meetings. Please prayerfully consider if you are interested in being nominated to be the Dean for our new conference. All nominations will be from the floor at that meeting. 

2. The second meeting will be in our current district configuration and the business will be to nominate for election a lay male for synod assembly. I believe this is our only nomination and business. 


Parish note: 
We will gather on the 2nd Thursday of June, June 9, in our monthly gathering. We will be discussing how the Parish wants to exsits within the new conference structure.
