Greetings colleagues,
As most of you know the SCVLP has historically been very gracious in
supporting the congregation of Pueblo de Dios. At this point in their
ministry, they are in a period of discernment. Prince Of Peace, the Synod,
and churchwide are also all in a period of discernment regarding their
involvement with the future of Pueblo and Hispanic ministries in our area.
As past supporters of Pueblo it is also important to know where you all as
SCVLP stand as a parish and as individual churches in supporting Pueblo
and/or Hispanic ministries in our area.
A few things to know:
--Pueblo the worshiping community is *not* closing right now. Only the
people of Pueblo can vote to dissolve the worshiping community.
--There are serious and exciting monthly conversations going on with Pueblo
concerning their future. If you want to be part of them, please contact
Eduardo Trejo or me (Sara Pearson) and we will get you connected.
--If you or anyone else you know are interested in growing or supporting
this ministry, please contact Carlton Monroe, the DEM of the synod.
Peace!
Sara Pearson
